Let’s Learn to Spin Yarn
Have experienced an interest in learning to spin yarn, and then you go and buy a wheel? NOW WHAT? Spinning yarn can be fun, and you can make some cool yarn to boot! This class is for beginners, or those that haven’t spun for a while and need some help getting back in the saddle. This class will focus on how your wheel works, spinning singles, and then several different methods of plying your single yarns. We will not be discussing ratios, woolen vs worsted, angle of twist or any of those other complicated terms. This class will help to give you the courage, to spin on your own. Remember it is all about making yarn and having fun while doing it. Students should bring your spinning wheel, several bobbins, a lazy Kate, and a niddy-noddy if you have them. If you don’t have a wheel, the instructor will have 3 or 4 that you could borrow for class.
Class Time: Saturday, March 9th, 1pm-4pm
