“Nuno” Hand felted Stained-Glass Scarf (FULL)


Students will learn how to “Nuno” felt onto a silk scarf! This scarf is very light and airy with lots of wonderful color. Please bring along an old bath towel, hand towel, bubble wrap 12″ by 76″. We will be standing during this class with short breaks and wear short sleeved top or you may get your sleeves wet. The process of migrating wool through the weave of the silk to create a design of mirror image on both sides. We will be creating design of a stained-glass window. In this class, we will be doing an abstract design. There will be a variety colors to choose for the painting process of creating the panes of your scarf. A short discussion of the color wheel may help you in deciding the colors you choose.  Note: The classroom is located @ Community Resource Center’s Meeting Room, located at 118 S. Meriden St., Portland) and the class
occurs from 9 AM – 12:30 PM.
