Hi! I’m Karen Ames of Ps23Wool. I am an avid crafter and artist of as many mediums as I can try! I live on a farm in West Central Indiana and raise sheep, goats and chickens. Having sheep and being one who likes to ‘waste not’, I decided to try doing something with the wool that was sheared from our flock every year. I went to the local Fiber Event and was consumed with learning everything I could about working with wool. I met some neighbors who also raised sheep and a cute strawberry-blonde girl who raised Angora rabbits and would spin its fibers right off the rabbit while it sat contentedly on her lap. Olivia Treen of Treen Acres. She was sweet enough to teach me and I have happily learned to spin, dry felt animals, dye wool and even weave. It’s been a delightful journey. Now I am trying my hand at selling some of my creations and wares. Another learning experience! I have a shop on Etsy at Ps23Wool.Etsy.com and sometimes post photos on Pinterest at Ps23Wool. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I do accept orders for custom felted animals. Thank you for attending the Jay County Fiber Arts Festival online this year. Hope to see you in person next year!
