Traditional Rug Hooking Workshop celebrating America’s 250th birthday. This workshop is designed for beginners and intermediate artists, with no prior experience required.

Instructor Information: The workshop is led by Tracy Burns of House on the Hill Rug Hooking Studio, an Indiana Artisan and experienced instructor.

Workshop Details

  • Project Choice: Attendees can select from three patriotic patterns: Americana FlagPatriotic Star, or Patriotic Heart.
  • Cost: $100 (covers both class and material fees).  Class Fee: $35  Materials Fee $65
  • Materials Included: Each participant receives a complete kit, including a hook, a hand-drawn pattern on linen stretched over a wooden frame, pre-cut wool strips, a color photo guide, printed handouts, a notebook, and a pen.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will receive 2-3 hours of instruction covering basic rug hooking techniques and the historical context of this centuries old Viking art form.
